Research Areas
Our research focuses on techniques for the management and analysis of large data sets. The object of our work is the synthesis of conceptual basic research with the prototypical use in different applications. Our current topics include in particular the efficient detection of unexpected and statistically conspicuous data objects, techniques that hide different personal information in large data sets as well as possible, intelligent processing of data from sensor networks and the development of technology for modeling and executing secure and rule-compliant processes with a focus on the data aspect. We are always very interested in cooperation with users and researchers from other scientific disciplines.
